Biography

Dr. Jiahui Shao is a Professor in School of Environmental Science and Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). She received her B.S. and M.S. from East China University of Science and Technology, and Ph.D. from Clarkson University. She was a Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Delaware and the Pennsylvania State University. She joined SJTU in 2004 and was a visiting research professor at National University of Singapore from 2015.8 to 2015.11. Dr. Shao's research interests include novel membrane and membrane technology, advanced water treatment and resources utilization technologies. As a PI, Dr. Shao has been in charge of projects supported by National Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Major Science and Technology Program for Water Pollution Control and Treatment, National High Technology Research and Development Program (863), Scientific Research Foundation for Returned Scholars and companies. As co-PI, she is actively involved in CREATE program funded by the National Research Foundation (NRF) of Singapore, tackling the challenges of emerging contaminants in water on environmental sustainability in megacities. She has published more than 80 peer-reviewed papers and one book, and has been authorized 8 Chinese patents.
